DIY cardboard screen

A screen has long and successfully replaced interior doors, is an excellent solution if it is necessary to separate a small section of the living room and, finally, it is a very successful element of decor. It can always be quickly assembled when unnecessary.Despite all these obvious advantages, this product is rare in open sale, and it is made in the manufacture of wood or plastic, which is heavy and cumbersome. Therefore, we will do it ourselves from cardboard.

DIY product can be decorated with applications or painted, even varnished. Any interesting solution can be implemented, including unexpected use. An interesting solution can be a multi-colored color scheme. Or a separate element of decor. The final look is limited only by the “flight of fantasy”.

How to make a cardboard screen

A do-it-yourself cardboard screen does not last long, it all depends on the scale and number of parts.

Necessary materials

• Cardboard. (from boxes for household appliances).
• Pencil.
• Scissors.
• Office glue.
• Schemes of parts.

Step-by-step instruction

We see that we have five elements in the diagram. We cut out each and carefully circle it with a simple pencil on cardboard. You will need so many of them:

4. Figure D: 64
5. Figure E: 5

For parts E, it is more advisable to use a thicker cardboard, as these are the pillars of our design.

The main constructions are A and B. We will have to fasten them together with elements C and D. We will fasten parts B to each other in slots with part C.

Thus, we combine all the details and our screen is ready.

However, there is an even simpler manufacturing method. Fully guided by their imagination, come up with the same form. Be it a circle, oval, square or star. You can even experiment with sizes and put it all together.

Decorating a finished screen is perhaps more difficult than making it. Supporters of minimalism in the decor leave it in its natural form, sometimes they allow any applications or drawings.

IMPORTANT. When applying an application or drawing, this must be done on the parts until they are connected to the finished structure.

The easiest way to decorate the finished product is to paint it. You can paint in a uniform color, or you can betray each color with different colors, this decoration will be more vivid.

Now that you yourself can make a screen, you will appreciate its properties, because it can be used not only in the case of guests, but simply as an element of the decor of your room, especially if the screen is small.
