What is a vacuum cleaner

Today it’s hard to imagine cleaning without a vacuum cleaner. Demand for such equipment is growing daily, and manufacturers are constantly manufacturing new models of vacuum cleaners. They will be described later.

A vacuum cleaner is used to remove dust from surfaces. This is possible due to air intake. Dust accumulated in the dust collector must be removed.

Such devices are classified in various ways. According to their field of application, they are divided into household and industrial structures, and by mobility into portable and stationary.

Important! Stationary options are more powerful than portable counterparts (so it’s better to use them to clean a small room). But stationary models are considered more powerful.

Vacuum cleaner design

Any variety of such equipment has the following basic elements:

  1. Devices used to collect dust (various nozzles are meant here).
  2. Devices for transporting garbage, that is, built-in channels.
  3. Housings with filtration system, dust collector and unit.

The scope of this technique will expand if you use a variety of nozzles to quickly remove garbage. It is recommended to use the universal nozzle for quick care of coatings or for collecting accumulated dust from the windowsill.

Cleaning cat and dog hair or fiber litter is a lot easier with a turbo brush.

The universal nozzle has an operating mode switch. So with its help you can clean both a smooth coating and a surface with a pile. This nozzle is equipped with rollers designed to increase maneuverability during cleaning and brushes with different stiffness.

Cylindrical rollers rotate due to air currents. They are able to quickly collect pollution from any surface - from books, household appliances, chandeliers and so on. For dishes, it is better to use an electrostatic panicle, which has long villi.

Washing models have vacuum nozzles. At their expense, fluid is supplied to the working surface, and dust is removed faster.

To properly clean the floor, it is best to use brushes for the parquet floor. Due to the fact that slotted nozzles have different sizes and configurations, garbage collection is simplified even in places that are difficult to access: from under the sofa, at the joints of the floor and baseboard.

Cleaning metal waste is simplified by devices whose nozzles are equipped with electromagnetic inserts. Due to electromagnets, attraction and retention of metal contamination occurs until the power is turned off. After cleaning, the electromagnets are turned off, and the garbage immediately moves to the dust collector.

Garbage is moved to the dust collector through special pipes that are connected to the housing. If this design has a vertical layout, the hose will not enter the transport system. As for the manual machine, in it the functions of the transport system are channels located in the buildings.

The device transporting dust is supplemented by channels located in the wall of the living room. Pipes are connected to the channels through a flexible hose. The cases of such a device are made of durable plastic.

Attention! In addition to a garbage storage device, a compressor and filters are also integrated in such a housing. Also inside it is an alarm and control units.

Today, users are offered different types of similar equipment, classified according to the type of cleaning for which it is intended and design.

Users need to remember that the suitability for cleaning a particular room and the ability to clean various surfaces depends on which class the vacuum cleaner belongs to. To choose the right model, you need to understand the classification of such devices.

Detergents and dry cleaners

For wet cleaning, it is best to use a washing vacuum cleaner: with it, you can wash the floors or remove accidentally spilled liquid. This technique is equipped with two tanks with liquid. The liquid from one tank enters the capillaries, and then is sprayed on the surface.

After this, the contaminated water through the dirt channels enters another tank designed for it.

Such models will come to the rescue when you need to fully tidy up in a large room. Such a device will not work if you need to do daily cleaning, since it has larger sizes.

Important! Dry cleaning equipment has a simple working principle. Since the fans are actively spinning, air is sucked in with dust. Further, the air flows are filtered and again end up in the atmosphere.

Horizontal and vertical

Among the main advantages of vertical models, it is worth highlighting the lack of need for their constant assembly. After cleaning, you can put such a design in a cupboard or behind a door - it needs no more space than an ordinary mop.

Due to the design, such models can be used even if necessary to clean in inaccessible places. In this case, you do not need to move the device case. Such a vacuum cleaner is also effective for cleaning, as well as its usual counterparts.

Another advantage is its maneuverability, so it will be possible to tidy up the room much faster than if you use an ordinary vacuum cleaner.

Some types of vacuum cleaners are suitable if you need to do wet cleaning. Air purification in such devices is carried out by anti-allergenic filters, which make up the design of the device.

Horizontal devices are a case with wheels. They are equipped with dust compartments and a motor block. The dust is sucked in by pipes. They also have various nozzles that allow you to penetrate even in remote corners of the house. Similar models work due to electricity.

Attention! The main advantages of horizontal models are low cost and the availability of a variety of nozzles. Among the shortcomings of such designs, it is worth highlighting the work from the network and the fact that they occupy a lot of space during storage.

Vacuum cleaner robots and embedded devices

The robot vacuum cleaner is designed as a hockey puck. Only it has a larger size, which makes it possible to use it for cleaning under a bed or a large closet, but they limit the size of dust containers.

The top panel of such a device is equipped with control buttons and a charging indicator. Removable tanks are located on both sides of such a robot. Driving wheels powered by an engine

As for the embedded structures, they are installed in the back room. From this design, air ducts are routed throughout the apartment (they are necessary for connecting the hose). After cleaning, the air goes out.

The main advantage of this model is hygiene and low noise. Compared with analogues, this technique has less volume.

Among the disadvantages of this design, it is worth highlighting the expensive cost and difficulties with installation. In addition, when such a device is used, more energy is consumed.

So, modern manufacturers offer users a variety of vacuum cleaners. When choosing them, one should take into account not only their needs, but also the advantages and disadvantages of such devices listed in this article.
