Checking the microphone on the headphones online

The development of technology has enabled man to improve the quality of life. Until recently, we could not even think of such a variety of various accessories that make life easier and make leisure more interesting. As for the headphones, a few years ago their range was limited to the choice of standard wired options. Today, the choice has become much wider. On the shelves, you can find various models with the desired characteristics and advanced functionality.

The most popular are wireless headphones and headsets with built-in microphone. This is due primarily to ease of use. The presence of a microphone directly in the headphone system allows you to quickly answer calls and talk with the interlocutor, without switching between the operating modes of the device.

From time to time, the accessory may malfunction. We will talk about possible causes of malfunctions and various types of problems in the functioning of the headset in our article.

Of course, the first thing you need to evaluate the microphone and the quality of the sound transmitted through it. This is easy enough to do. The easiest way is to connect the headset to any phone, tablet or computer. After that, try to make an online call to any user, it is desirable that he be nearby to check the functioning of the system. If there is good communication and audibility of the transmitted sound, we can assume that the device is working properly. If the interlocutor does not hear you, then, most likely, the entire system or only the microphone is not working.

ATTENTION! If you need a more accurate assessment of the capabilities of the microphone, you can do this in two ways: using the capabilities of Windows or in a special online service.

Verification in the first way can be performed as follows:

  1. Go to the "Hardware and Sound" menu through the "Control Panel".
  2. From the proposed list, click on the item "Sound".
  3. Next, in the top line of the window that opens, select the "Record" item.
  4. From the proposed list of devices, select the appropriate option. To the right of it should be a green bar, a microphone operation indicator.
  5. Say something into the microphone. If connected correctly, the indicator should change.
  6. You can evaluate the sound by listening. To do this, additionally in the line "Properties" record your voice and listen to it.

There are special services for checking online, the use of which will greatly facilitate the task of assessing the quality of work. To do this, you must enter one of these programs. After that, go to the microphone check point. To do this, you need to enable the Flash player. A bar will appear in the window that opens, displaying sound vibrations. If during the check you encounter a lack of sound, you need to find out the cause of the malfunction or malfunction:

  • lack of connection to a computer or other device;
  • mechanical damage to wires or electrical circuits;
  • the equipment is disabled by the system in the computer;

  • ban access in the browser;
